"Great place to stay for golf. Well maintained and interesting course and comfortable accomodation. Nice bar and good food. The only downside is no air-conditioning in the rooms or the bar which in the current heatwave is not great."

"Not being too family with Birmingham I booked this hotel, was visiting the NEC but I underestimated the distance between the the hotel and the NEC, regardless of that though I can say that the hotel and the area in which it is situated are both lovely, conveniently near local high street shops, the hotel may not be much to look at from the outside but don’t let this put you off, the interior is lovely and well maintained, the reception staff and friendly and helpful, there is free chilled water in the reception also which goes through to the bar and restaurant, for those who like to keep a regular schedule of exercise there is a very decent gym with very modern treadmills and cross trainers along with a weight area, the rooms a very spacious and also very well presented, our stay was great and I would stay there again."

"Every single thing about this hotel from start to finish was perfect. The staff members at the front desk and restaurant were so warm and helpful, the entire hotel feels like you’re stepping back in time in all the best ways, and the room was INCREDIBLE. Both the breakfast and the dinner there were delicious. We stayed in a Superior Deluxe room that was so cozy and full of character I wished we had booked more than one night there. Very easy access to the entire town from here and everything is walkable. Would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in this town."

"New hotel, room very practical, new and clean (apart from one set if bedsheets, with dark hair that did not belong to us). No telephone to call reception in the room. Staff very polite and helpful. Was a bit surprised to have to pay extra for parking (nowhere on hotel details when I booked as far as I know). Good to have starbucks on site. On the whole, good experience but a bit expensive for a budget room, especially as we booked ages in advance"
