Not stopped in a YHA before but this was lovely. 3 bedded room to ourselves with private bathroom. Lovely old building with very helpful staff. Very close to everything in Stratford upon Avon would definitely stop again when visiting our friends in Tiddington. If you're a first timer like us please be aware.. no towels, TV or drink facilities in the room.
We had a lovely stay in a warm and cosy environment. Nice atmosphere, hospitality and decent meals. Really enjoyed the cooked breakfasts! Location was perfect for us. Would recommend to all especially to young families; great way to have a cost effective break!
A delightful cheery greeting on arrival. The hostel is clean and well looked after and every thing you would expect of a youth hostel. En-suite rooms are small but comfortable. Provides a welcome nights rest.
First it was tricky to find the reception as the parking at the back and there is a walk to the front. Probably some small arrow signs helps. Everything was clean. Quiet at night. Just all good for a transit trip.
I was unlucky that a noisy customer joined the same shared room. However, that was not the YHA's failure. Overall, everything was great, given the expense. Quiet, clean, and easy-going.
Was surprised how accessible the accessible room was. Car park not good for wheelchair users no accessible parking. Also theres a long oush to the entrance good path but if its raining you will get bit wet before you can see the entrance which is step free.Wet room very good. Also the single bed and bunk beds were comfy, however it was difficult to close the room door as it opened out. Good ramp access even when there's steps. Staff are very helpful. There was only one room we couldn't use due to steps was the lounge.
I got there the mattress with Sophie and uncovery you could feel the bolts from when the bed was bolted together. In the end, I put both the mattresses on top of each other and it’s still wasn’t very nice. The room was very small and wasn’t very nice.
Excellent facilities including free parking. Would use again. We needed somewhere to stay for the marathon and this was the perfect solution. Very clean and super helpful staff. Recommend for this type of trip.
Very helpful staff. They repurposed a contact lens holder for me in the middle of the night as I had forgotten mine at home. Beautiful place with a massive garden all around. Great meal options. Overall was a great stay.
Staff very friendly and welcoming, always greeted you when you entered. Good facilities for self catering. Rooms a little dated but clean. Good quality bunk beds-not rickety or squeaky. Only negative I would say is the sheets aren’t big enough for the bed-even someone who sleeps like a corpse wouldn’t be able to keep it on the mattress. Overall happy with my experience here and would recommend!
