Good location, only 25mins outside Edinburgh city centre. The room was spotless and had all the amenities one could need, an iron, hairdryer, tea and coffee. The bathroom was very nicely done and very clean. The bed was very big and amazingly comfortable. Would definitely recommend this hotel for those wanting to stay close to both glasgow and Edinburgh.

Just got home from a weekend here and it was absolutely beautiful... breakfast options were great and swimming pool, sauna and steam room were great. My only bad point was the mattress wasnt all that but maybe its be being fussy. Netherless a beautiful place and we will be back in the summer

We really enjoyed our stay, the food was great, and the beer choices excellent. The room was basic, I loved the old school bathroom. Perfect transport links for trips into the city, plus a very dog friendly area with walks along the Water Of Leith. Our dog was made very welcome.
Will stay at the Riccarton Inn again

Our trip to Chain Runner is always brilliant that’s why we always stay at the Chain Runner when going to Livingston. The only problem was we were beside the door where people were going upstairs & they would let the door close on it ’s on so there was a fare bit of banging. Perhaps they might change the door mechanism to a soft close.

This is a traditional hotel close to the centre of the town. Very comfortable and the staff were excellent, The only problem was access to the car park at the rear of the hotel was by a number of flights of stairs and as I am in the over 80 group I found this rather a nuisance. Younger generation will find it less of a problem.
