"Property was decent, clean & central for shops & beach. Unfortunately after a 4 to 5 hour drive to get there it took a further 4 hours to finally get the code for the key box to allow entry to the property. The property manager/owner refused to answer the three emails I sent him & never answered his phone to the phone calls I repeatedly made. We will not be using this company again if we can help it."

"Nice hotel in a lovely setting. Our lakeside view double room was very spacious and comfortable but a little bit dated. With only one window it made the room very dark and the room lighting options weren’t very good. You had to have every light on in order to look in the wardrobe or use the vanity table , which made the room far too bright. The bathroom was ok but needed hooks on the back of the door to hang wet towels or Bath robes . Food and drink at the hotel was very expensive and over priced for what it was. The spa facilities and swimming pool were modern and in good order and my daughter was delighted with the Swedish massage that you had. The biggest problem that we had was the poor facilities at the hotel for charging electric cars. I have a hybrid car which needed charging every day but the hotel wanted £25 per day to use their charger. I fully charged my car in a town car park for £6 which is about the going rate for public chargers but was very inconvenient as it meant we had to stay in one place for too long. I would have preferred to charge overnight at the hotel. The hotel needs to install two or three charging points from one of the many companies that now supply them or get the council to install public charging points in the two public car parks at the front of the hotel. The one I used at the car park in Grassmere operated by Fuuse was very good and I would recommend it. Overall we enjoyed our stay at the Lakeside and the staff were friendly & helpful."

"A very wecoming and traditional hotel. well carpeted and beautifully furnished in the quite residents lounge. Although i did not take my meals there, the dining area was really well laid out and would match most restaurants My room was larger then most singles at hotels i have visited. downstairs bar area was spacious and friendly, beer prices were very reasonable too. The disappointing things were:- Tv respection was very poor and internet availability was restricted to the bar area. The window in my room would not close properly, but as the weather was particularly warm,it was not problem. i enjoyed my weeks stay as it was near to the beach and bus station. i will look out for upcoming offers and would gladly revisit.soon."
