"Beautiful spa facilities, great breakfast and evening meal choices. Decent sized room, my only criticism would be the size of the TV as it’s a fair distance from the bed area to the TV and not everyone wants to sit on a sofa to watch TV at the end of a day of walking etc. Great staff, easy parking and nicely located to reach costal beaches. Frequently asked questions

How much does a beach hotel in Tywyn cost?
Prices for beach hotels in Tywyn vary, but you can find a great deal from £79 on Expedia. You're likely to find lower rates if you're travelling during the off-peak season or mid-week. Find the best deals by being flexible with your dates, and sort search results by "Price: low to high" for our cheapest rates.
Which area of Tywyn is best to stay in for beaches?
The best area to stay in Tywyn for beaches is along the seafront, particularly around the promenade and the main beach access points.

This area is Tywyn's main draw for beach lovers. The promenade stretches for miles, offering direct access to the vast sandy beach. You'll find most of the guesthouses and hotels lined up along the seafront road, giving you easy access to the sand and sea. The main part of the town, with its shops and eateries, is just a short walk inland from here.

Families will find this area particularly convenient. With the beach right on your doorstep, it's easy to spend the day building sandcastles, paddling, or simply relaxing by the sea without needing to travel far. Many accommodations here offer family rooms or are within easy reach of the beach facilities, like public toilets and ice cream parlours.

Couples looking for a relaxing coastal break will also appreciate staying by the seafront. The quiet early morning and evening strolls along the promenade, with views over Cardigan Bay, provide a tranquil setting.
What is the best time of year to stay in a beach hotel in Tywyn?
The most popular time to stay in a beach hotel in Tywyn is during July and August, when the Welsh summer is in full swing. The weather is at its warmest, with average temperatures hovering around 18-20°C, creating ideal conditions for enjoying the sandy beaches and coastal walks.

During these peak months, the town buzzes with activity, and you'll find plenty of families and couples making the most of the seaside atmosphere. The extended daylight hours mean more time for beach activities, exploring the Tywyn Promenade, or even trying watersports. It's also a fantastic period for local events and open-air entertainment, adding to the vibrant holiday feel.

For those who appreciate a slightly quieter yet still delightful experience, June presents an excellent alternative. The weather remains very pleasant, with similar temperatures, making it superb for long strolls along the shore or exploring the nearby Snowdonia National Park.

What beach activities should we do in Tywyn?
The best beach activities to do in Tywyn centre around its expansive sandy beach and the nearby coastal paths.

Tywyn's main beach is a long stretch of golden sand, superb for relaxing and traditional seaside fun. You'll find it easily accessible from the town centre, with a promenade running alongside it. The beach is excellent for building sandcastles, flying kites, or simply enjoying a walk along the water's edge. It's also a good spot for families, as the gentle slope of the beach makes it suitable for paddling when the tide is out.

For those who enjoy a bit more activity, the beach is a popular spot for watersports like paddleboarding and kayaking, particularly during the warmer months when the sea is calmer. You can often find local providers offering equipment hire or lessons. The coastal path, which runs both north and south from Tywyn, provides excellent opportunities for scenic walks with stunning views of Cardigan Bay.

Additionally, for a great experience, consider a horseback ride along the beach. Several local stables offer guided rides, allowing you to explore the coastline from a different perspective.
Is it cheaper to book flights and a beach hotel in Tywyn as a package?

However, savings vary depending on factors like destination, travel dates, and availability, so it's wise to compare options. With access to over 300,000 hotels worldwide, Expedia makes it easy to build the perfect travel package.
Can I cancel my beach hotel reservation on Expedia?
Many Expedia hotel reservations are refundable, provided that you cancel before the hotel's cancellation deadline. This is often within 24-48 hours of your scheduled arrival. Be sure to check your booking confirmation for the exact cancellation policy. For maximum flexibility, use Expedia's "Fully refundable property" filter during your search to find the right beach hotel in Tywyn for you.
