"Of course the setting is the main attraction. The hotel is is a beautiful, grand, rural home, set by the lake, so its location and views are exceptional. The hotel is a bit quirky and creaky as you would expect but some areas are tired and not as clean as they could be, sadly. The staff were polite and efficent enough but not especially engaging. That said we didnt really need anything, so our interactions were limited"
