"The cottage was in a perfect location for us. The town centre of Ruthin is within walking distance and there are many interesting destinations a short drive away. The cottage was clean and all the essentials were provided. The bedding and towels were of good quality and the bed was very comfortable. There is secure off-road parking and the garden is fenced around. There is a tall step between the back door and the gravelled garden, but Ruthin is hilly so this should not be a surprise! "

"Great base for exploring North Wales , excellent location for beach and prom . Well equipped everything you need for self catering . Clean and tidy, bit of a squeeze in the bedroom but okay. An ideal cottage just one complaint , the bed, noisy springs and uncomfortable . Sorry but you have to be honest about these things. Easily solved with a new mattress ."

"We have used Hotels.com many times and Sykes cottages a number of times this past year al very good and this was excellent. The booking was easy but the owner of this cottage was excellent in communication and instructions ( Gaynor ) there isn’t enough I could say and we had the privilege of meeting her when she did midweek check on jacuzzi. "We stayed at Ashover Lodge last week and really enjoyed our time there - even though we were 2 adults with French bulldogs we still had plenty of room!The lodge had everything we needed and was in a great location for travelling around the area.People had mentioned in previous reviews about the comfy bed and we have to agree! The neighbours were all really friendly and If we are in the area again in the future we would definitely stay there!"

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay cottage was beautiful and cosy had everything we needed . We had a week away me husband 2 children and small dog . Lots of lovely dog walks close to shops restaurants and close enough to go into Chester for days out . Thank you for our Prosecco and biscuits we loved our stay and will love to stay again in the future highly recommend.hosts were very helpful we had a lovely time . "

"Prior to checking in, the resident hotel offered an upgrade option, which I took advantage of due to the amazing price. I am so thankful for the upgrade as it gave my party of three ample space to share one room with essentially two sections and two separate beds. My family and I felt very safe as there was additional security past a certain time at night which required all patrons show their room keys and verify their names. I would stay here again on my next trip to Liverpool and I highly recommend this hotel."
