Lovely welcome on arrival and very accommodating with the ++ pillows for the family. Decent breakfast selection. Bit tight of a breakfast time for later risers on vacation 6-9am but manageable at a push with teenagers.

I was so pleasantly surprised by the room. I was expecting it to be comfortable but a little run down. It was certainly comfortable, but also modern and spotless. The location could not have been better and my expectations were surpassed in every way. Michael deserves a shout out for being a friendly, helpful, face. Highly recommended for great value and great stay.

Stayed at the Coast Bastion Hotel and it was lovely.
Check in was easy, staff were friendly. Parking is available and cost $9.
I asked for a few extra things later and they were provided no problem, Robes in the room which I love. The sliders instead of slippers were ok for me but didn’t fit my husband.
The hairdryer was too small , took forever to dry my hair.
Fabulous big towels, not skimpy ones.
Amazing view of the harbour - great to see the sunset and sunrise.

Stayed twice at Buccaneer Inn on road trip around Vancouver Island. Excellent self-catering facilities (microwave, full size stove top & oven, toaster, kettle, utensils, etc.) in clean and spacious 'apartment' with separate bedroom Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Ample parking and very convenient location for ferry terminal. Only real negative was slightly noisy at night from nearby roads. Would stay again.

Convenient, and only, central Ladysmith hotel. Check in very friendly. Room was nothing special but perfectly ok, but traffic noise from main road may disturb some.
Easy walk to the main street. Recommended the Spice Hut restaurant next door.
Would stay here again.

The hotel was an excellent stop over for 1 night in a good location if you have a car. The reception desk was very helpful in providing alternative eating places in town. Continental breakfast was great but finished at 0930

Motel in a quiet residential part of town, but walkable to downtown. My room was recently refurbished and had the loveliest newest fluffiest bedding of any motel in B.C.!!

The ferry to Nanaimo was full - so we were later arriving than expected and tired - we got such a warm welcome!! Has the lovely feel of a small business- every team member we met was smiling!
You cannot check in after 11pm - so bear this in mind if travelling by ferry ( we just made it!)
