This historical hotel was the last one on a three week trip on the East Coast. Boston is an expensive area and you pay for space at a premium, Omni Parker house is no different. We paid the most for this hotel and it was the smallest. The location is one the Freedom Trail, close to Boston Commons and all the other historical spots in Boston. The Kennedy family has a lot of history in this hotel and doing my research prior to this trip I knew it was famous for the proposal of John Kennedy to Jackie in the dining room of the Hotel. We actually sat in the table for breakfast next to the table of the proposal. Our waiter was an elder man and he was full of Kennedy history and happy to take photos of people wanting to sit at the table. I snapped a photo of the table empty after a couple had eaten there and somehow that seemed appropriate to me. They are also famous for the Boston Creme pie. We were also close to the subways, which we took to attend a Boston Red Soxs game. This hotel is full of history, pull it up on the web and you will be amazed. We happen to like to stay in these kind of places.
Hotel is within walking distance of Granary Cemetary (across the street), Faneuil Hall, the Old North Church (15 min walk), and other points of historical interest. Staff is excellent. Room was comfortable and had a great shower.
This is a redone hotel near Boston Commons that is $400/night in the high season and much cheaper off peak. It has wifi, clean rooms, nice but not fancy lobby and the star is nice. I have stayed in 8 hotels in Boston in the last 3 years and for the price its a winner.
This was our second stay at the hotel and it didnt disappoint. Staff super friendly at check in and check out - easy and quick. we got upgraded so stayed at a nice suite - clean and spacious, decent light. bathrooms are generous and you get first class product (I dont care but my wife does).
Restaurant downstairs is fine. I wouldnt say great or bad. Service was a little slow but food quality was good.
The hotel has a relationship with a giant gym next to it, so the workout facilities are first class in every way. Nicest gym I'd been to in a while.
Hotel is on a one way street so it can be a pain to navigate there. parking closeby can be a pain and we valet parked. be sure to allow for a good 15 mins for them to grab your car.
Great location, nice hotel, excellent service. I'm a happy customer.
Boston’s centerpiece is the Common, America’s oldest public park. The park features a historic graveyard, Swan Boats, and the Frog Pond—an ice skating rink in the winter. The gold dome of the state house sits above the common. The area is heavy with history, and visitors can find references to founding fathers even among the modern buildings of the Theatre District and Downtown Crossing.
