Nice hotel for business oriented stays. Location great to Quincy Market and Fanueli Hall. Front desk staff friendliness/helpfulness varied person to person. Only down side we experienced was could not get our room even 1 minute before 3:00 checkin time. When they say 3:00 they mean it! However, they were kind enough to accept our luggage early so we could walk over to Quincy Market for lunch.
Historic hotel in good central location. Easy walking distance to many areas of interest and with the subway and trolley bus nearby. Our room was a little cramped for the money but you are paying for location.
I have great pleasure of staying. The room is comfortable and you can reach many good restaurants within walking distance. The staff are quite nice. My daughter left her Macbook in the room and the staff reacted very efficiently to our lost-and-found request.
Albion at the front desk was incredible. Right from the start, he was so kind to our family, especially my son. He offered him cookies every day and sent a tin filled with them home for us.
The maid staff was also great. After I spilled milk in the bed, the staff was right there with new sheets, pillows, ect... Couldn't ask for more.
My only complaint were the elevators. Very old, slow and most of the time didn't seem to work going down. So we took the elevator up and and then down. Annoying but not the end of the world. Staff were super nice and rooms were clean and comfortable. It was walking distance to lots of restaurants and Boston Common and trains. Excellent location and very Kid friendly. We enjoyed our stay...minus the elevators.
I travel from San Antonio 1-3 times per year to catch a baseball game. I've stayed all over the city and really enjoyed this hotel. Only stayed one night (king suite with sky view) and they allowed me to check in early.
Staff was very helpful upon reception and room was great! Great hotel, location and staff. I will definitely stay again.
Boston’s centerpiece is the Common, America’s oldest public park. The park features a historic graveyard, Swan Boats, and the Frog Pond—an ice skating rink in the winter. The gold dome of the state house sits above the common. The area is heavy with history, and visitors can find references to founding fathers even among the modern buildings of the Theatre District and Downtown Crossing.
