We stayed one night, the room was clean and comfortable. A little pricey for one night, but we split it between two couples so it wasn't that bad. The hot water in the shower takes quite a while to heat up, other than that, everything was good.
friendly staff stay was pleasant, Hotel had shuttle bus to take you to hospital if you were there to visit a family member or friend that was in hospital or if you were the person that needed to go yourself. Check with hotel for shuttle times
I have stayed in other long stay hotels, including Extended Stay in other Houston locations, and for a place offering only the basics (absolutely no housekeeping nor a restaurant) it is satisfactory for a short period. However, if located located in a room on the third floor front, the security lights at night can make difficult sleeping and the noise of the parking does not help. But it is a fairly central location and directly across the street from a small shopping mall, making it convenient for anything one would want to purchase (supermarket, Office Depot, etc).
The hotel is pretty. We encountered trouble parking. We couldn't self park our truck in the parking garage because it was oversized so we had to use the valet. That was a $25 a day plus tips expense that wasn't planned but we got over it. This is a pricey hotel. Breakfast, room service, restaurants are pricey. Hotel staff was friendly and accommodating. The room was clean but the double beds are a little small. I would have rather had queen beds. The bathroom is also a little dated but it was ok. The swimming pool was a little cheap looking too but my son liked it just as well. Overall, it was a good stay.
Visible for miles amid Houston's flat terrain, the Texas Medical Center is the world's largest, with 49 institutions on 1,000 acres. Simply put: the best and brightest practice medicine here, and patient rosters often include heads of state and royalty. Also a cultural hub, the area's oak-shaded boulevards lead to the Museum District, Hermann Park, Houston Zoo, Reliant Stadium, and the Astrodome.
