Great hotel with friendly staff and good restaurant. Will definitely stay there again on our next trip to Houston. Staff helped to organize transportation to the port as well as provided good recommendations (and reservation) for dinner.
Check in efficient and very friendly. Door staff impeccable and even offered to drive us to the convention center to pick up marathon packet. Room was perfect. It was clear the hotel had geared up for the Houston Marathon and did a great job of it.
The only downside and reason for 4 stars, not 5, was a disappointing meal at Quattro. In this regard service was bad (inattentive and incomplete) and the $32 "create your own pasta bar" and desert buffet was meager salad offerings, two types of pasta (nothing "create your own" about it) - spinach ravioli and gnocchi, and "dessert" was some cookies and bread pudding.
For $32 would have expected MUCH much more, and much better service.
Room seemed old. Dried toothpaste on vanity and enamel peeling off bathtub. Also, breakfast via room service was Luke warm and bacon was burnt. However, they did not charge me for this and staff was friendly. Bartender was way more focused on other customers and did not seem to care much about my business.
Our room was very roomy with big bright Windows which were nice with our partial construction view. Rooftop view is gorgeous day or night! Bed was very comfortable. Bath toiletries were really great, especially body soap. Breakfast was delicious although not much variety. Complimentary drinks and cookies were definitely a plus. Overall great place to stay.
This hotel is reasonably priced and located about seven easy blocks from the Convention Center in Houston. The staff was very friendly and the room, though small, was well designed. The included breakfast was plentiful and included oatmeal, which I enjoy. They only had potatoes on Sunday, which I find disappointing, but my waistline appreciates. There is no restaurant and to get a meal, other than breakfast, you will need to walk a few blocks.
Right now there is a lot of construction on Dallas Street, but when that is over it will make this an even better place to stay.
