"We loved this historic and quirky hotel. The room and bath were spotless and comfortable, and the bed and linens were high-quality. We didn't like the stairs (there was no elevator), but it was only two floors. We had help with our bags at checkout. The location is perfect in a little alleyway connecting two main streets. "We had a lovely stay at this hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast was good and the room was comfortable. A few things to note, though: - the hotel is a good 15m walk from the walls of Lucca, so you need to plan your days as it’s not easy to pop back during the day, especially in the heat of August. Bike hire is extra - 35 euro a day. - the pool is lovely - comfortable and a lovely space to relax. However, it’s only open from 10am - 7pm which was a shame as it’s not possible...

"Great spot in Lucca, very easy to walk to everything. We had some of the best food of our trip in Lucca! The owner was very helpful in getting us a taxi to the property after we had dropped off our rental car. The only small negative is it can be quite noisy at night due to the bar next door, but I guess that is the trade off for staying in the centre of town. We would stay here again! "
