The north ends of these twin ridges dominate the upper parts of Glen Coe, but from the south they appear as twin cones. Loch Etive is accessible by car via a 14 mile drive down scenic Glen Etive along a minor road that starts at the head of Glen Coe. And binoculars should be an essential companion on a journey up Loch Etive. The seals that have hauled themselves out onto the rocks in the loch are easily visible. The view from our room would have been the same, the back of an old BT building. The room wasn’t a hotel suite but more a mini apartment in a block at the back of the hotel, it looked like the photos but once you were in the room the finishing off wasn’t great. Carpet trims loose, safe on the floor so you had to be on your hands & knees to use it. Shower tray was shallow so looked nice but drained really slowly. On arrival the room was cold and didn’t really warm up until the 2nd day. Nice to have a sink & fridge but the sink has no drainer so awkward to wash up. No table mats or coasters and the tables are wooden, there were already ring marks on the tables. My eyes have been itchy all weekend, guessing it’s most likely there had been a dog in the room as now we have left my eyes are fine. We never went into the hotel except for checking in. Unlikely we would book again." The room they gave me at first had a huge window in the bathroom and no shades, also the curtain shower did not close properly and there was a ball of hair in the corner of the bathroom floor: nasty, horrible, disgusting, unacceptable. I complained and they gave me another room which was better but still bad. Breakfast was poor. I do not recommend this hotel.
