We stayed in the cottage during a very cold and windy January. A number of the windows are only single glazed so the cottage was quite drafty, with wind blowing under the front door and through the letterbox. But the caretaker, Jane, was happy for us to have the heating put on continuous, and with the open fire and some throws, we were all very cosy.
The cottage was clean, well presented and very well equipped.
We didn't have any problems with our mobile receptions (3 and O2). Neither did we have any problem with the internet/wifi. And our girls were delighted to discover that the tv had Netflix!
The views from the lounge and master bedroom were absolutely stunning, and the silence was a godsend. No cars or aeroplanes!
The only real down side was the garden, although fully enclosed and private, it regretfully wasn't secure enough for our Cocker Spaniel. The Purbeck stone wall at the front is very low, and as the top is very wide, my dog just jumped up on to the top of it and then leapt off to the ground below! Maybe this is something the owner could address?
Otherwise, a lovely place to stay and we would happily visit again.
