Very welcoming, friendly hotel, with the best location I have ever stayed at in Istanbul. From the terrace, the vista is of the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sofia one side, and the Sea of Marmara on the other. The breakfast with fresh fruit and local produce was excellent. The rooms were a bit tired, and the floor of the bathroom not very clean, but a minor complaint as the whole experience was exceptionally good value, and a real pleasure.

Courteous staff with excellent hospitality. 2 minutes walk from Sultan Ahmet and 5 min walk from Ayah Sophia. The building is 200 years old with new renovation that maintained the old character and have it unique style. Some rooms have nice view of the Marmary sea. One thing is that it has no elevator which might make him not suitable for some visitors
I loved it. The fourth floor room has nice view of the Marmary. It has nice balcony where you could enjoy their excellent Apple tea
"I spent 5 nights there while exploring Istanbul. "
The hotel manager and staff did an excellent job working with us on to make our stay extremely enjoyable. This included going way out of his way to help with cell phone problems, find another nearby hotel and provide free transportation to that hotel which 30 minutes by car away.
The rooms are small but very nicely furnished and very clean. This hotel is a jewel in an old neighborhood in need of rejuvenation, but has a unique charm and is a safe comfortable walk anywhere you want to go.
A/C working was not adequate. Very noicy all day prayer calls, difficult to sleep. TV never worked. Staff were really good and humble. Tried their best to help. Do not take the Turkish bath and iold city tours recommendedd by the hotel. Terrible. Rummy dance recommende was a waste of money.
The Sultanahmet district is the centre of Old Istanbul, home to many of the city’s most famous attractions. The district is named after Sultan Ahmed I, who ordered the construction of the Sultan Ahmed Mosque, also known as the Blue Mosque. Other attractions include the Ayasofya (Hagia Sophia), Topkapi Palace, Byzantine Hippodrome, and Basilica Cistern.
