Radisson Blu Hotel London Stansted Airport

"Lovely hotel and accommodating staff. Friendly helpful front desk and clean spacious rooms. The kids enjoyed the heated pool too!"

ibis Cambridge Central Station
8/10 Good
"This Ibis is excellent value and I’ve stayed a number of times over the last 4 years. My only concern this time is the breakfast. The breakfast food is excellent, well cooked and a great range of foods. However the staff couldn’t keep up with demand. Between 8-9am food ran out. At times There was no milk, bread, pastries, cutlery and even space to sit and eat. Perhaps additional staff should be added between These hours to help replenish stocks. The same applies to reception. Frequently only one person was left to deal with checking out and checking in guests. This could be better managed. Other than the above minor problems it’s a good place to stay."

Christs College Cambridge
8/10 Good
"The staff at the Porters Lodge and at breakfast were excellent and very helpful. The room was minimalist, but the bed and chair was comfortable. The college is the middle of Cambridge and ideal in my case for meetings at two other colleges within easy walking distance. The only down side is that my room was on a third floor which entailed going up a steep and narrow set of steps with a suitcase. There was no lift and while not impossible with a small overnight bag with a larger suitcase, or anyone elderly, or infirm, or in need of stick to get around, would have found this very difficult. Hot breakfast was fine and typically long tables and benches to sit on."

St Nicholas Hotel

Holiday Inn Express Cambridge by IHG
10/10 Excellent
"I cannot fault the staff at this place. They were all really lovely and always willing to help. The breakfast is decent and ample parking on site. The rooms are a good size and very clean. We really appreciated that there was already a fan in the room alongside the AC - needed in the heatwave."

Clayton Hotel Cambridge

"Patrick at the front desk was very helpful"

Delta Hotels by Marriott Colchester
8/10 Good
"The hotel looks awful from the outside, like an American run down Motel. Inside is a whole different ballgame, it’s been renovated to a high standard throughout. Room was comfy, great blackout curtains, quality bed and bedsheets. The only downside is that you have to pay for parking £8 for overnight, which I feel is ridiculous. The car park should be free if you are staying in a hotel. The pool you have to walk out of the hotel and round the corner. It’s ok if it’s not raining, but if it was, you’d get very wet on that walk to the pool. Steam room was very small, could fit 3 people in it, anymore in the steam room and you’d be touching!"
