Thanks for your review, we have never had anyone complain about the parking before as our drive is huge. Unfortunately you didn’t follow the directions that are available on VRBO before your arrival, we have attached specific directions for the easiest route to avoid the narrow roads this is possibly why you had problems on the drive as we advise not to reverse down the drive, unfortunately we were on holiday ourselves so we were not able to advise you in person. A lot of roads in the U.K. in beautiful tourist areas are narrow (especially to guests from the USA ) such as Cornwall, Devon, Wales, Scotland, the Peak District etc. this is why they remain beautiful! You will find many places in France and Italy have equally narrow roads. It is common practice in the U.K. for hosts renting holiday cottages to request guests to leave their rubbish outside, follow recycling guidelines and wash their own dishes up. This is because we are self catering holidays not B&Bs or hotels hence our price difference!! The cottage has a lot of character due to its age and has different floor levels again this is extremely common of older properties in the U.K. Very sorry you appear not to have enjoyed your trip at all it’s a shame, we have never had such a negative review , I’m very surprised you gave us four stars out of five so much appreciated.

Hi Lyn, Thank you so much for your lovely comments, I’m really happy you both enjoyed yourselves despite working :( I wonder if you found the four cushion pads in the antique dresser which are for the garden table chairs? I think this is in the information folder, I will double check and I have no idea where the ice tray went as I checked it myself to make sure it had ice in it - it should have been on the top shelf at the back , I will double check it’s there also. Great feedback about the internet I will get my husband to look at this as we should be able to buy a booster to ensure the master bedroom and garden can get connection. Would love you to come back and actually have time to explore Stroud and our local area…there are loads of great pubs and restaurants and of course pretty scenery. Ann

Hi Heather, I’m so glad you got home ok and so sorry your trip was cut short, if you do ever return I will give you a big discount. The local pub was asking if you got home ok . It’s all gone crazy here in the uk - they have shut the pubs, worst fear for most middle aged Brits!! Take care and hope you spend some quality time with your daughter whilst in isolation :(
