Radisson Blu Hotel, Birmingham

Radisson Blu Hotel, Birmingham

8/10 Good
"I recently stayed at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Birmingham and found it to be a highly competent choice for a city centre stay, offering great baseline strengths with one clear area for improvement. • Location: The hotel is exceptionally well-positioned for both leisure and business travellers, sitting just a short walk from Birmingham New Street Station and the Bullring and Chinese Quarter • Service: The staff are a real asset to the property. The reception team was welcoming, highly professional, and efficient at check-in. • Accommodations: I was impressed by the generous room size, offering plenty of space to relax. The floor-to-ceiling windows provided excellent natural light and fantastic skyline views. • Drawback: The in-room climate control system was excessively noisy. Since the windows are sealed, guests depend entirely on the AC, and the loud, persistent hum proved quite disruptive at night. Overall, a premium, comfortable stay, but the ventilation units require attention."

"Like the size of the room but it could be a bit cleaner, light fittings and bathroom door were dusty."

"A very good hotel, and well placed for many attractions. Pity the restaurant isn't open on Monday's. I used the Italian restaurant next door, as it's convenient for me, but the prices are excessive, in fact a rip off!"

"Amazing value for the price and much better than expected. The premises were very clean and tidy and the service from the staff, especially in the restaurant, was excellent. The breakfast buffet had a good selection and was kept constantly replenished. On the slightly negative side the car park was very congested with vans and commercials but if you drive to the rear of the hotel there is plenty of parking for cars. Our room was fine but the bed harder than we like. All in all we had an enjoyable stay and would certainly use again."

"The only downside to the stay is the rooms are very hot, but they do supply you with a fan. Steph (reception) and the lady that looked after us at breakfast - chef’s kiss! Brilliant customer service."

Malacuna Birmingham

Malacuna Birmingham

10/10 Excellent
"As I was on business I only spent the evenings working on my iPad in the reception area. The bed was surprisingly comfortable despite seeming softer than I normally prefer. The privacy blackout blind across my bunk worked well although on section had come off the rail. The secure storage box by the bed would have been much better if it did not make a loud noise on opening and closing. As always there were not enough pegs in the bunk are and the shellf was too small to store phones and other items on charge. I felt sorry for 2 novice young lady hostelers who were shocked to find they were sharing with men. Although I will choose female only rooms if I can get them for a small premium I think that it would be great for any women who would refuse to share a dormitory with a man. Of course I appreciate the iced water available in reception. The shared bathroom was wet by previous person and there was nothing to clean up the floor."
