Steamboat Natchez Dock

For context, we arrived in the middle of the night. The gentleman at the front desk was helpful and professional, but unfortunately he seemed to have been thrown under the bus by management - there was a long line of people checking in, and he was on his own. I asked him whether there was no valet because of the hour; he said there was and called him. I’m assuming the valet was asleep because, after checking everyone in, the front desk gentleman went into a little room to get the valet, who appeared groggy - I assume sleepy but could’ve been nursing a hangover. This didn’t inspire a lot of trust as we left our car to this man - we were just really tired after driving 12+ hours so left it to the heavens. We received no help with our bags. I was surprised: that’s a first for a Westin stay! After that unfortunate first night, service was much better, but we did receive a dirty robe and housekeeping was pretty shoddy. On the plus side, the doorman, the day valet women and the bartenders were all exceptional, and the concierge who sits next to the front desk was incredibly helpful. Uneven overall.
