"Fab place. I’ve stayed a few times and it’s always good quality. Staff went above and beyond this visit. Gym was excellent with good quality air con. My room was nice & comfy. I did 3 classes during my stay, all classes were of high quality. I had an evening meal & breakfast, again good quality. I sat out on the veranda overlooking the golf course. I also used the sauna during my visit which was one of the hottest I’ve been in! Top notch! Well done The Essex"

The garden was beautiful, the history was interesting, the staff were wonderful, the food was delicious, and the beds were so comfortable. I enjoyed having coffee on the lawn. It was so peaceful. "
