Lovely stay as always for a family birthday meet up celebration. The pools and leisure centre are heavenly, especially when the sun comes out. Real holiday vibes in the outdoor pool area. Restaurant food and service exceptional. Only criticism this stay was that the rooms were far too hot at night, couldn't control the radiator heat!

I was impressed by the attention to detail for all the food courses and meals that we had. All very good.

The hotel as a whole and the location was great for our needs. The decor is fantastic and there is clearly no expense spared. Great value for money and breakfast was top draw. It is of very high standard and the staff couldn't have been anymore friendly. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend.

A nice hotel in the centre of town. The staff were nice and accommodating, and breakfast was good too. There is a free car park nearby as the hotel only has a few spaces around the back.

Fab experience lovely hotel- can’t think of anything negative at all! we had a very lovely comfortable stay- would definitely recommend

This was a last-minute getaway for me and my wife. We have four young kids and two older ones, and the youngest had been poorly, so we weren’t going to go. But we found this property and decided to book for one night. Although it was a little further than I would usually like for a one-night stay, it was absolutely worth it. Shannon has done an amazing job with the place — the pictures really don’t do it justice. The bed was super comfy, and the room was so spacious. It had everything you...

Very handy location close to where we needed to be in Chelmsford. Certainly more room that a budget hotel wih everything you need, including safe parking.

Just the ease of driving up to the main entrance to check in and friendly staff making the process easy in the middle of the night.

whenever working in the area always a perfect stay.

From start to finish a truly memorable experience in every good way We had a 3 night break due to a wedding and was using the jolly sailor-fish on the quay as a central base for the wedding and all activities in the area We were greeted by variety with a lovely smile and helpful attitude and were asked if we wanted to go straight up to our room or would prefer a sit down and a drink first and as I had just driven for about an hour chose the latter took a look at the menu and also chose to have a...

The hotel is undergoing a renovation at the moment, but the rooms and general areas are clean and quiet, the staff in the bar - restaurant are most accommodating, the food is cooked to order but the wait is well worth it the food produced is excellent. Defiantly recommend the food.

Only stayed for one night but thoroughly enjoyed it and would definitely stay again.

Fabulous stay, at a clean and comfortable hotel. Was a little in the pricey side, considering that I had to pay £10 for overnight parking. Additionally, I opted out of having breakfast, as that was over £12! In spite of those minor complaints, I found the hotel to be very comfortable and would consider returning.
