The Bristol Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"The room was a good size and very comfortable. However, the previous occupants rubbish was in both bins. The foot stool made of leather/plastic was grubby and needed a good wash. The towels were soft, fluffy and generously large. The bed was comfy and the bathroom all worked well."

"We were very pleased with the hotel, clean, modern with spacious bedroom a very comfortable bed and great shower. The staff were very polite especially the gentleman who served us in the bar area. We also found it to be a great location for restaurants and bars plus ( go to the top of the street and turn right ) it was only a short walk to the shopping centre and the harbour too. The slight negatives were There wasn’t a hairdryer in the bedroom which was mentioned at reception, the receptionist challenged this and I was told to double check which I did and found it was definitely missing, by the time it was sorted my hair had dried and left me no time to straighten my hair before checking out.Also at breakfast the crockery was not replenished regularly which meant ourselves and other guests were having to use items such as mugs for the fruit juices Having said that, we would definitely book again should we be staying in Bristol"
Bristol Marriott Royal Hotel

"We had a lovely stay at the Bristol Marriott Royal Hotel. The staff at the front desk were very friendly and welcoming, and the hotel itself is a beautiful historic building with so much character. I especially loved the history and atmosphere of the hotel. We were kindly upgraded to a one-bedroom suite, which was beautiful, spacious and very convenient. We absolutely loved our suite and really appreciated the upgrade. Breakfast was simple but good quality. I particularly loved the pastries, especially the pain au chocolat! As we stayed over the weekend, breakfast was very busy, so there was some waiting time for food orders, tea and coffee. Overall, we had a very enjoyable and comfortable stay. Beautiful hotel, lovely staff and a great experience. We would definitely stay here again!"

"Really nice hotel, beautiful surroundings, spa & leisure was lovely, nice pool, sauna and steam room, although you have to book access separately to guarantee usage, as if full capacity you won't be able to access"

"The hotel makes a spectacular first impression, inside and out. The façade, entrance lobby, beautiful staircase and high ceilings are stunning and we were very impressed. Every member of staff we interacted with, day and night, was genuinely friendly and polite. In particular, we received a lovely enthusiastic warm welcome when we checked in on Monday afternoon. The room was perfectly clean, and had plenty of helpful features like space to hang clothes, easily accessible plug sockets and a fabulous bed. The bathroom was spotlessly clean too and had all sorts of lovely-smelling toiletries. We liked the provision of coffee-bags rather than instant coffee. They tasted great! The view from our room looked out across the top of the porch of the hotel, and this did look a little bit weather-beaten and had some untidy-looking wiring for lighting the hotel front. If this could be tidied up a little, it would be great, as there is a wonderful view beyond it, of a pretty park full of trees and flowers. Overall, this was a spectacularly beautiful hotel to stay in and the staff were wonderful."
