The junior suite (Marquises) that we stayed in was fabulous. It was spacious and very elegantly appointed. It would not be suitable for anyone with a mobility issue as there were 4 very steep stairs to the bathroom. The bathroom itself was very large and clean. As this is a grade 2* hotel be aware that there is no elevator and no air conditioning. They provide fans and with windows open it was very pleasant. The breakfast was good. Dinner was good and considerably better value than the afternoon tea (which we would not recommend as it lacked refinement in delivery, presentation and experience). Overall a good stay on the outskirts of Cardiff with beautiful views over the city.

We didn't stay at the property, as when we entered the 4th floor bedroom it was really hot. the window was open to its 3 inch extent, and there was a tower fan, that had little effect on the heat . The reception staff said that none of the rooms had working air conditioning, so we couldn't change rooms. We decided to leave and find alternative accomodation.
