"Good location in centre of the town. Nice room and very clean, staff very friendly. Bathroom could do with a bit of an upgrade, shower wasn't very good. Continental breakfast served everyday with pastries, cereal and fruit which was great, and there was an option to order cooked items as well."

"Very nice hotel, close to the sea, in a nice quiet location. Parking was easy a few spaces on site and plenty of local street parking. My room was well equipped, good shower, comfortable bed, plenty of power and USB charging sockets. Free biscuits and sparkling water in the room. I will stay again next time I'm in Falmouth."

Staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Great location for exploring up and down Cornwall. Special thanks to Selim (the hardest working man in hospitality!); there was a bit of confusion around the booking which was sorted promptly for us."

The Waterwheel Inn
"The Waterwheel Inn was exceptional. We had a garden suite which opened straight out onto the amazing gardens and a small double room. Both were decorated nicely and kept clean. Breakfast was served in the lovely conservatory and was excellent with good choices and nice touches like home-made jams and granola. We ate in the restaurant for dinner several times and had great food every time. Staff were helpful whilst being unobtrusive. Our only suggestion is to advertise the vegan options better as they catered really well for vegans but it was on request rather than being clear on menus."

"The property was nice, quite a walk from town, but that’s just how it is in Truro. My room was on the top floor and I had a lovely view of Truro Cathedral! While my shower was in the room, the toilet was across the hall. Not a big deal except there was a room right next to mine and I felt like I was disturbing them with early morning trip to the toilet and noisy doors. What I didn’t like was that all the outlets were at floor level, so the cord from the kettle couldn’t reach from the little table.I had to put it on the chair to brew. Also, very noisy plumbing. Overall, a nice stay. It was certainly worth the price!"

What brings the majority of holidaymakers to the south-western county of Cornwall is a desire for peace and quiet. The heady mix of sleepy fishing villages and unspoiled coves is ideal for those in search of some rest and relaxation. The south Cornish coast boasts a chilled out atmosphere among locals, as well as being home to some of the most beautiful spots in the country. Fortunately for travellers, there's also plenty of excellent hotels in this part of Cornwall.
The Lizard
Cornwall is special in that it's home to both the most western and the most southern points in mainland Britain, in Land's End and the Lizard. No trip to southern Cornwall would be complete without going as far south as south goes by heading out to Lizard Point. This quiet peninsula isn't home to much but small villages and the occasional post office, but that's all part of its charm. There's a small shop offering fresh pasties beside the car park at the Lizard, which is the only facility visitors really need!
Walking the Coastline
The south Cornish coast boasts some of the most spectacular cliffs and beaches in all of the country, and it's best seen on-foot or by boat. Highlights of the south coast include the Minack Theatre, built into the cliff edge in the far West, and the stunning Roseland Heritage Coast, just East of Falmouth.
