"Excellent location, historic hotel with fantastic views and lovely, spacious rooms. We received an unexpected room upgrade and ended up in a fabulous twin room literally over the waters of Falmouth Harbour! Wish we could stay for a bit longer and enjoy Falmouth (third time visiting for me but always somewhere I want to revisit) and that lovely room! "

"Lovely stay here for three nights, and would return and recommend to family and friends. Made very welcome. Very clean hotel. Room was lovely and overlooking garden and sea view. Shower in bath that could do with a foot grip as quite slippy once water was under foot, as nearly fell getting out. Pleased that kettle, beverages and biscuits were in the room for early morning cuppa. Breakfast was excellent and each night completed menu for the next day. Allocated same table each day. Had dinner upon arrival evening and that too was excellent. Complements to the chef! Quiet property so very peaceful. There are enough car spaces for parking and we were pleased there was an EV charging station, but unfortunately it was in ‘error’ mode. Though we tried a few times and called helpline it couldn’t be rebooted. This was outside of the hotel’s means and they said it had worked for others. As we were travelling round Cornwall we found an alternative at the local McDonald’s (not that we ate there!) but overall EV chargers are scarce in Cornwall. "

"What an excellent stay we had for 5 nights in August 2025. Katie is a marvellous host and Lugo Rock is a beautiful seaside place to stay with a quick walk to both the beach and the town centre. We loved it! Our family room was fantastic with two separate spaces with an interconnecting door. Breakfast was delicious and full English or any combination of was preordered each night. The dining room was welcoming and Trish, another lovely member of staff, was cheerful serving breakfast each day and giving advice about places to visit around and about. Would highly recommend Lugo Rock "
