"Caravan was basic but perfect for our weekend stay, everything we could have needed, very clean and the welcome pack - dishcloth, tea towel, washing up liquid and bin bags - was a welcome touch. Loved how close we were to the beach. Great food from the Sands Bistro and the outside bar area was perfect for enjoying the wonderful weather and watching the amazing sunsets."

"Firstly this was my second stay and I was not offered a free room upgrade as they advertise for their rewards plan. Upon arrival we was checking in and the guy at the desk told us the keys are in the door, we went around to the small building and there was no keys, the maintenance man (who was very nice) had to come and climb into the window, whilst he was doing this we realised the bench at the front of the cabin was completely disintegrating. "Great place to explore cornwall Accomodation is well equipped and a welcome home from home to come back too and chill after a days exploring visited out of holiday season so cannot review resturant and entertainment but me and my older son used the bar and enjoyed the pool table and a pint after a day off site.. shop had all the essentials needed and check in faultless.. "Nice friendly staff, site very well kept, properties were a bit tired but nice and clean on arrival but no towels are supplied so suggest bringing your own, bed's are not made up and you are expected to strip them on the day you leave, the cooker was not easy to work as it was old and most of the marks on the dials had worn off. I would recommend staying here."

"Bedroom looked out onto a side street but there was still a good view of the sea from there. Bed was comfortable - very hot though - although I did stay during a very hot week! Bedroom was clean & tidy and included an ensuite bath and shower. Unsure how to turn on light attached to the wall by the telly (could not find mains or light switch) and one of the bedside lamps was not working. This were my only issues though. Staff were really friendly, kind & professional. They agreed to look after my luggage prior to check-in - really appreciated this as was traveling by public transport and it can be hard lugging it around everywhere. They even topped up my water bottle before I left. Had Eggs Florentine for breakfast which was cooked to perfection and was delicious! There were a range of hot breakfasts available along with cereals, toast, fruit salad, teas, coffee, fruit juice, etc."

Shanty festival

"A traditional upmarket British seaside hotel which has clearly seen better days in its past, but appears to be attempting to get them back. Property shows signs of being tired in places, bedrooms are 3 star in particular, but the staff were exceptional and clearly well trained. An excellent venue from which to enjoy the town's Shanty Festival."
