My fourth stay. Only for one night unfortunately. As on previous occasions excellent caring staff and a clean comfortable room. For myself a good location for family and friends. I will return.

"Perfect location for the motorway and most of Some"
The hotel is really close to the motorway, so perfect location, but with no noise, so its great for popping off to lots of different locations. The staff were really friendly, every time you pass the reception they smile and acknowledge you. The room was lovely, quite specious, very comfy bed and a little kettle with coffee, tea etc which you can replenish from reception at any time. The breakfast was OK, not a vast selection and no bacon, but plenty of food and drinks.

"Great location."
The hotel is easily accessible by road or on foot, the greeting and care we received were excellent and we were made to feel comfortable and welcome. We ate dinner in and the food was very good and great value.

"Good stopover hotel"
Disappointed when we arrived to find pub only open during lunch and evening. We had to telephone to get someone to come and check us in. We booked this just before we left home. Had we waited at home or booked earlier we would have received an email telling us when check in was possible. Would be better it this was on Expedia site.

"Nice stay - great for starlings!"
We had two ensuite twin rooms. Both were nicely decorated and clean. Breakfast was freshly cooked to order and delicious. It was also great to have an honesty bar in the house! We stayed here for one night because it is close to the RSPB Ham Wall reserve, where you can see starling murmurations in winter. It was a 20 min drive to the Ham Wall car park. The murmuration was breathtaking - we might come back just to see them again!

"Relaxing Retreat "
Beautiful hotel with charm and eccentricity, cosy, candlelight and stunning views. If you like charm and character over top of range mod cons you will love it, if you seek perfection you may not, but you will miss out on atmosphere as this hotel has plenty. My only gripe really was the staff seemed to have the end of season feeling and were not welcoming or at times even interested. This I felt let the experience down, it's a great hotel and I would definitely return but perhaps at the beginning of the season next time.

Pocket Guide: Pet Friendly Hotel in Somerset

By booking in to a pet-friendly hotel in Somerset, such as the Tarr Farm Inn in Dulverton or Saffron House Hotel in Ilfracombe, you won't have to leave your beloved pet behind when you head off on holiday. Somerset, with its wide open spaces, scenic walks and areas like Exmoor National Park and the Mendips, is a happy romping ground for dogs and humans alike, and pet-friendly hotels will have all the facilities you and your pet require.

    Pet-Friendly Hotels in Somerset

If you want your dog to have as enjoyable a time as your family when you visit this part of England then be sure to pick a good Somerset pet-friendly hotel. Nutritious canine food will be on the menu, along with a variety of extras like occasional snacks, blankets and comfortable sleeping quarters. It's a dog's life in Somerset's pet-friendly hotels, and he probably won't want to return home with you at the end of the break!

The treats and toys made available at pet-friendly hotels in Somerset like Halfway House Inn Country Lodge in Yeovil are part of a package made available for guests' pets. Many people feel guilty for having to leave their pet to be looked after by friends or professional kennel staff when they go off for a break, and these hotels have spotted a gap in the market. A well-trained dog can often be better behaved than some of the guests, and properly looked after, he'll be no trouble at all. The lobby staff will have information on local dog walking areas, parks and pet-friendly establishments in the area, and they'll always available with help and advice. There may even be facilities such as a professional dog walking service, and the hotel will have links with local vets and pet suppliers.

Rules of the House in Somerset Pet-Friendly Hotels

The few rules that apply to pets are no more onerous than the sensible ones which you as a guest will be expected to abide by. They'll include such things as keeping your dog on a lead whilst on the premises - hardly much of a problem when you consider all the advantages of a pet-friendly hotel break in Somerset!
