"Pleasing Motorway hotel"
Facilities as expected, good value, very quiet despite being close to the M5. Hotel is located towards the rear of the service station complex and motorway noise was not at all intrusive in the bedroom. Our room was at the back which helped the noise and there was a rural outlook which was pleasing despite the bad weather. Overall experience was easy and the hotel staff were helpful. Excellent value for money.

"A warm welcoming hotel with excellent food."
What a fabulous place to stay! Great value for money, with free parking. A quiet location, close to the coastal path, with views of the harbour and the lights across the bay from my room. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly, and keen to make sure you were happy with everything, respecting your privacy. Breakfast was first class, and meals and theme nights very popular with both locals and residents. Would recommend this place to anyone.

"Peace on Earth"
Very relaxing-staff really tried to please and showed a genuine interest. A room upgrade was a pleasant surprise and there was a benefit to the scaffolding outside the window in that it marred the view of Wales (only joking Taff!) The mild weather and big tides were also added benefits.

"'Tired' hotel; excellent staff"
The room we booked had a bathroom which was excessively hot; the radiator could not be turned off. We were quickly moved to a more expensive room but charged the same rate, and offered a free round of drinks at dinner. The staff were very helpful, and the manager came along to apologise. Obviously would have been more of a problem to move us in season. The hotel appears to have been run down somewhat - single-glazed windows, decor a bit old, showers feeble. The current manager had only started less than 4 months ago, and assuming the previous incumbent knew they were going it is not surprising investment has been lacking. In our (second) room there was a notice on one of the windows asking us not to open it. The bedding was fine, as were the tea- and coffee-making facilities. The food was very acceptable, if nothing special (although the steak was better than average - I had it twice). Alternatives in the town singularly uninspiring! (Out of season, of course, and we didn't look at other hotels; didn't see any restaurants).

Pocket Guide: Pet Friendly Hotel in Somerset

By booking in to a pet-friendly hotel in Somerset, such as the Tarr Farm Inn in Dulverton or Saffron House Hotel in Ilfracombe, you won't have to leave your beloved pet behind when you head off on holiday. Somerset, with its wide open spaces, scenic walks and areas like Exmoor National Park and the Mendips, is a happy romping ground for dogs and humans alike, and pet-friendly hotels will have all the facilities you and your pet require.

    Pet-Friendly Hotels in Somerset

If you want your dog to have as enjoyable a time as your family when you visit this part of England then be sure to pick a good Somerset pet-friendly hotel. Nutritious canine food will be on the menu, along with a variety of extras like occasional snacks, blankets and comfortable sleeping quarters. It's a dog's life in Somerset's pet-friendly hotels, and he probably won't want to return home with you at the end of the break!

The treats and toys made available at pet-friendly hotels in Somerset like Halfway House Inn Country Lodge in Yeovil are part of a package made available for guests' pets. Many people feel guilty for having to leave their pet to be looked after by friends or professional kennel staff when they go off for a break, and these hotels have spotted a gap in the market. A well-trained dog can often be better behaved than some of the guests, and properly looked after, he'll be no trouble at all. The lobby staff will have information on local dog walking areas, parks and pet-friendly establishments in the area, and they'll always available with help and advice. There may even be facilities such as a professional dog walking service, and the hotel will have links with local vets and pet suppliers.

Rules of the House in Somerset Pet-Friendly Hotels

The few rules that apply to pets are no more onerous than the sensible ones which you as a guest will be expected to abide by. They'll include such things as keeping your dog on a lead whilst on the premises - hardly much of a problem when you consider all the advantages of a pet-friendly hotel break in Somerset!
