We loved the place: it’s a charming, quaint old cottage that’s had a sympathetic B&B conversion and is exceptionally neat, tidy and spotlessly clean. James and Katherine are exceptionally welcoming and helpful, and good fun. We had a comfortable & wonderful stay. The owners & staff were very helpful & polite. The hotel was a peaceful setting with wonderful grounds.

Really lovely stay - friendly staff in a small pub in Combe Down open for evening meals during the week, and open for lunch onwards at the weekend. We had a lovely welcome, preordered breakfast for the next morning which was really delicious, and was shown to our room upstairs. A lovely view of the white horse in the distance and a comfy bed, with lovely furnishings. We would stay again.

A wonderful B&B that I would recommend in a heartbeat! Richard was an excellent host. Our room was lovely and we had a great stay. We were made to feel very welcome with dog and we would love to return in the future.

This was our second stay at the property. We received a warm welcome as usual and checked into our spacious family room. The hotel is clean but a little tired in places. We're happy to see that they are undertaking a refurbishment and look forward to seeing the results next year. The location is outstanding; a short walk from the beach and high street. Amazing property, well thought out and furnished with excellent views. Staff were excellent too and you had a really nice lemon cake to share. Only downside was the main spa in the pictures was not included and was an extra £35 per hour, per person and we were told we needed to book 2 weeks in advance! There is a hot tub and sauna in the garden which is nice.

The reception staff who greeted us (two young men) were the most friendly, polite and efficient you could ever wish for - a credit to your hotel.

We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel this week. Rooms were amazing and the staff were all very cheery. Only criticisium would be with the food. Meals were gorgeous and very well presented but the bar snacks were deceiving and too "fine dining". I wanted proper nachos not some grilled flat bread. Overall amazing place to stay.
