"It is frustrating that the actual accomodation is cloaked in secrecy, in spite of specific enquiries, until arrival. So it’s basically lucky dip. We were allocated 1 of 3 rooms in a renovated property. I think it was called Casa della Merlettaia. "At first I thought I made a mistake by booking a property on Murano Island away from the main tourist area in Venice, but I found the area quite refreshing after jostling around in bustling Venice most of the day. There were boat buses available that go to Venice every few minutes. It is very clean, quiet and I felt very safe walking around Murano. The hotel is quaint, clean, and has a delightful breakfast every morning for its occupants."
