"The Taj hotel Cape Town is an excellent hotel. The staff are very friendly and obliging.the hotel is very clean. Breakfast is excellent with a very wide choice One very minor point.During the check in process please give out the wireless password and don't keep people waiting unnecessarily. Also do not cancel the room key until the person checks out especially when the checkout time has not lapsed"

"Can't say enough about this remodeled hotel. The staff were just amazing and friendly from the maid staff, restaurant workers, bellmen, and the reception desk team. Our room was very quiet even though it was right along the canal. The breakfast options were great from continental, to hot/cold buffet, to order ala carte. The location is easy and safe to get to the main wharf with 2 different walking options (1 included no stairs) that take 10-20 minutes depending on where you want to go. Parking was free and simple, but with the wharf so close we didn't have to drive, find parking, and pay for parking there. We even boarded the hop on/hop off canal boat tour right at the hotel. We loved the hotel so much that we extended our original 4 night stay an additional 5 nights. We would stay here again."

"A nice hotel. Don't be fooled by the name - it is not on the waterfront, but about a mile from it. However the hotel runs a free shuttle bus on the hour, and back on the half hour to the star of CapeTown, the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront Harbour and main shopping centre. The breakfast is really good - spoilt for choice. Plenty of staff to bring you coffee and clear plates and tables etc. The staff are all so friendly too. Our room on the 14th floor had a magnificent view of the harbour area. The room was cleaned every day and the tea/coffee/milk replenished every day. Hotel bar prices are incredibly low compared to the UK, so a nice surprise. Overall, we really enjoyed our visit to Cape Town, and the hotel was a cosy comfort from the unseasonably bad weather we experienced during the week."
