"Stayed with 10 friends with average age of 60. Photos of house interior on Vrbo are generally accurate - those on the website for Wheathill show different furniture and soft furnishings. Overall1930s shabby chic vibe is very nice and as expected. Good location in rural residential area10 mins walk to nearest shop and a pub. "I stayed here because we went to the theatre that was 10 minutes walk away. Close to Southampton shopping area. The hotel was very comfortable and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We had breakfast which was very good. Would definitely stay here again."

"Second visit, great stay. Warm welcome by staff -at reception, breakfast and the leisure area, all very professional. Loved the breakfast buffet and setting, and enjoyed the use of leisure facilities. Plenty of parking, and great location to find. You do need a car/taxi if you plan to eat outside the hotel. Room was very comfortable, and we were complimentary upgraded to one with a view. If I was being really picky the one thing that would have improved the stay is a revamp on the jacuzzi - it was much colder temp than the pool itself, and the jets were poor - perhaps just need their nozzle directions adjusted. Other half loved the sauna and steam room whilst I was swimming."
