We stayed at Amara for 1 night in August 2015. It is advertised as a spa and sanctuary, however the bathroom toiletries were more budget hotel standard. It is located in a quieter part of Sentosa, which is quite nice considering how overpopulated Sentosa is. There is a shuttle bus that goes between VivoCity and the hotel, which is nice as the shuttle express onto Sentosa island can get quite pricey. However, once the driver refused to let us board, he did not speak to us or make eye contact, even when we went up to the shuttle bus and knocked on the door. He simply waved his hand despite having no passengers on board and having to wait regardless due to the vehicle in front of the shuttle bus. The grounds are okay. The swimming pool is not anything spectacular, the one in the main building supposedly looks over the South China sea, but you can barely see it due to the foliage and there are lots of shipping boats, which are hardly pleasant on the eye. The only thing that was nice was the free paper delivered to the room in the morning. Personally, we would not stay here again.

Resort is awesome. Everything is great from the room, location, kids club, weather, pool, food and of course the chi spa. Highly recommend to families. Many things to keep kids and parents occupied. But my favourite is just lying by the pool with a beer.
Nice scent was scattered around the air-conditional areas
Room was clean, neat and bright.
Wifi was not very strong but acceptable.
Hotel staff very friendly and polite
Early check in was available for us that day
Coffee Maker was provided.

First time in the hotel and would come back, (wouldn't do the same at the Hard Rock Hotel near this one).
It is one of the best rooms I have been in. The mood lighting in the room is superb and the rooms facilities great, right down to the small details.
The theme-park island of Sentosa has much to offer for families and visitors in the way of history, shopping, golfing, entertainment, and sightseeing. Get there by the cable car for a bird’s eye view of the area, and hop on the free buses to get around the island. The manmade lagoon at Siloso is the busiest. Finish off with retail therapy at Vivo City, the largest mall.
