Check-in/out is a breeze. Frontdesk staff are friendly and helpful.
The room, restaurants, general areas are pleasing.
The towels, bathrobe and bath mat are worn out. A bit disappointing for a hotel branded as luxury hotel.
Cleanliness is another area of improvement. Even with COVID and SG Clean, it seems they don't clean the rooms well esp. the common surfaces touched by guests. The attached photo shows dust collecting in the bedside lamp. At the restaurant, I obseved during breakfast (2 days) that the staff don't thoroughly clean the tables between guests. Yes, he spray disinfectant but he just wipe around the small centerpiece so it left a lot of areas with markings from previous guests. Also, there was an instance that a stack of tissue fell on the floor. The staff just picked it up and put back on the table as if nothing happened. Cleanliness is very important in any f&b facilities.
There's no feeling warmth staying in that hotel. The staff don't acknowledge the guests when you see them in hallways. Yeah, perhaps greeting is difficult during covid, but would be good to acknowledge guests in another way when you see them in the hallways. Maybe a Singapore thing, I don't know. This is my first time to do staycation. I travelled a lot before pandemic and stayed in many hotels and resorts overseas. Can't help but compare.
Food is good, no complaints here.
It is branded as a luxury hotel, so definitely the expectation is higher.
