Its lovely friendly staff go out of their way to ensure your stay with them is one to remember. The food is excellent and the rooms spotlessly clean. One extra special touch was speaking with Winston a war vetran, who shares his stories and sketches of being a soldier living in The Barracks during the war. Although on the pricier end, the room rate comes with a la carte breakfast, all-day lounge access from 8am to 8pm, and canapes and cocktails served from 4-7pm. Your breakfast starter, main, and timeslot are reserved a day before. Mini bar in the gorgeous room is complimentary, save for 3 mini liquor bottles at $15 each. The colonial-themed room also comes with a spacious tub, separate shower and wc, as well as a balcony overlooking the pool. Pool closes late at 9pm. Overall, it was a fantastic stay.
