Great staff very friendly - lovely central Hartlepool hotel

The hotel was lovely with fantastic sea views and lots of character was very clean and tidy .

Stayed two nights will definitely be staying again. The staff are very friendly and cannot do enough to ensure that you enjoy your stay.

The hotel is located very close to the A19 near to Yarm, however it is located in the beautiful and tranquil grounds which enjoy stunning views of the Cleveland Hills with only a very low level of noise drifting up from the A19. The staff were friendly and attentive throughout. We were made to feel both very welcome and comfortable with nothing being a problem. We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay in this beautiful boutique hotel. We booked the room overlooking the Cathedral which was stunning. The room was really large and immaculately designed. The gentleman who checked us in was so friendly and helpful. The walk was no more than 10 minutes to the centre. We were so impressed with this hotel and Durham we would definitely come back.

Fab stay

This place is a HUGE hidden gem! From start to finish, the service, staff, spa, value for money, everything was fantastic! We have stayed in many many hotels in the UK and this hotel has to be our favourite. The secret garden spa for an extra £25pp is worth every penny! We stayed in Tiplady 4 and it was perfect sitting outside as it was south facing so ordered a bottle of wine and nibbles before going to Nu Sana for an evening meal. This was a one-night stay to watch an evening football match. The hotel was reasonably easy to find; it has a huge, free car park; the staff are friendly and helpful; the room was fine, although the building is not modern - it is a busy pub, but not too noisy. The wifi and breakfast were fine and the hotel is about 20 minutes walk to the town centre, and 30 minutes to the football ground.

Diddn't use parking or spa but hotel was very convenient for the city centre. Dining room a bit cold. Excellent choice at breakfast and evening meals tasty.

It is close to motorway and easy to drive around. Staff is friendly. Food in the restaurant is of high standard. The room is clean and spacious.
