"Hotel was just what we were after - easy access from the motorway, on-site parking, air conditioning, breakfastif we wanted it. We booked a second night on a return visit to the area for convenience. Unfortunately there was a fire in the building overnight on our second visit. However, the staff dealt with the evacuation efficiently and effectively, checking all guests were accounted for and kept informed of what was going on. Not an easy situation for them but handled very well."

"I had an overall pleasant stay at DoubleTree by Hilton Cheltenham. The hotel is set in a lovely, peaceful location with beautiful grounds, making it a relaxing place to stay while still being conveniently located for Cheltenham and the surrounding Cotswolds. The staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. Check-in was straightforward. The room was comfortable and spacious, and the bed was particularly comfortable. However, there were a couple of areas that could have been better. The water pressure in the shower was quite weak and could definitely have been stronger. I also noticed some dust around the toilet area, so a little more attention to detail when cleaning the bathroom would have been appreciated. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and found the hotel comfortable and relaxing. With a few improvements to the bathroom cleanliness and shower pressure, it would have been an even better experience."

"We returned from a very busy day at 10.30 to find that our room had not been serviced - we had not opted into the scheme whereby guests can forgo a clean and receive a voucher to be used in the bar. Miguel went out of his way to supply the required teas, coffees towels etc. Thank you for your help Miguel."

"Stayed in a basic room. Definitely not 4 star, both the room and bathroom had definitly seen better days and were very well used. However for a night's sleep to break a long journey was fine. Pool, sauna and steam room were very well received andcdon enjoyed the gym. Breakfast was also lovely though no fresh rolls."
