Saul Farm

Gloucester

10/10 Excellent

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Saul Farm. Our bedroom and bathroom were stunning and immaculately clean. Yet there was a relaxed and homely feel about the place which was just what we needed. Nice to meet the dogs. The breakfast table was beautifully laid and the variety of food that was served up to us was a real treat! (Yogurt with fresh fruit ,cereals, a wonderful full English breakfast, toast, sweet pastries etc plus drinks.) We appreciated the friendly conversation and were made to feel...

The Anchor Inn

Bristol

10/10 Excellent

The Anchor is a village pub with some rooms at the back. We were in "Lavers" which, I suspect, is the smallest room but perfectly fine for the two of us. The room itself was immaculate, clean with good quality fittings and views over open countryside. We only had a small shower room but again well appointed. Breakfast is do-it-yourself with a toaster and kettle in the room but there was fresh orange, bottled water, butter and milk ( real milk, not UHT) in the fridge, and cereals, bread and a...

The Speech House Hotel

Coleford

10/10 Excellent

Had a lovely couple of nights in The Speech House Hotel. The staff were friendly but also professional. Room really comfortable and well equipped, and a good size. The restaurant was excellent, both for dinner and for breakfast. The hotel has a long and interesting history going back many hundreds of years. It's such a lovely location too, with lots of places within easy driving distance, but more importantly there's the beautiful Forest of Dean to enjoy. We would most definitely go back to the...
