No waitstaff in at the pool or in the bar, but that may have been because of the time of year. Our room was clean and spacious with a very large balcony and a great shower and very comfortable beds. Rooms were cleaned early in the day. A couple days before arrival I received an email th check in. During the process you are asked the time of arrival. We were arriving at 8:30 am we got to the resort and our rooms were ready and waiting for us! They have a free shuttle to take you to Funchal 3 times a day. The hotel is beautiful, the pool area is huge and well maintained. Highly recommend anyone to stay here." Accommodation was excellent, bed was very comfy and shower fab. We used public transport so you need to work out the buses that pass the door unless you don't mind walking. It's about a 25 minute walk to the airport from the property. Lovely garden area and has a banana plantation right in front of accommodation. Airport is very close so many flights taking off and landing. If using buses you can use the 113 bus to and from machico but must have a b for bemposta to go past the door. Kitchen facilities are excellent in the property. About 20 /25 minute walk to Santa Cruz. Nice views over the sea. Would certainly recommend and use in the future.
