Hotellet ligger fint vid havet med fint utsikt. Rymligt hotellrum och ok badrum. Servicen når inte upp till förväntningarna. Receptionen är inte intresserade av att hjälpa till med information. Maten på hotellet får 1 av 5 möjliga, vad ni är ni gör akta er för nyårsmeny. Gymmet är slitet och man känner sig inte välkommen där. Rummet var väldigt lyhört. Vi kommer inte att boka om detta hotell fast att vistelsen på Madeira var för övrigt fantastiskt.

Die Nähe zur Tauchbasis und die Sauberkeit in den Zimmern... allerdings ist es in den Zimmern immer etwas feucht/klamm... es würde auch mal nicht schaden über den Notausgang-Tafeln die Spinnweben zu entfernen... ;-)

Parking Situation is terrible. You must be back at 16:00 Hrs otherwise you must fight for a parking lot. On our first night (arrivel after 7 PM) it took us 60 Minutes to get a parking lot near by. Further we notic, that Hotel employees taking parking lots away for guest. No Disable parking lot on the property. The hotel is not good for people in a weehlchair or with cruches. Not really suitable for handicaped people. Otherwise, nice hotel, Breakfast not good , but acceptable. Cleaning very good. Hotel Staff. very friedly and helpfull. However. Facing the daily fight for a parking lot, we will chosse a different hotel next time.

Good location, not far from Funchal and from the airport. Public bus very near. Rooms are clean and nice (except the ones near the public areas like terraces or stairs very close to the balcony with people coming uop and down). Breakfast was also OK, quite big variety, although similar every day. Swimming pool very small, but direct access to the ocean. Fitness Centre open only till 21.30 during weekdays and till 20.00 on Saturdays and Sundays (It was the most weird and crazy there). Many floors and only one lift. So you must be prepared for using stairs. If anybody needs TV, the TV set will be a little surprising: very small. Strange for such a hotel.

#### Geräumiges Studio direkt am Felsstrand

Das Hotel ist schon etwas älter, aber sauber - allerdings ist von der Lage her ein Auto von Vorteil - eine Autovermietung befindet sich direkt vor dem Hotel. Absolut spektakulär ist die Lage betreffend Aussicht.

Reception Personal teilweise sehr unfreundlich. Reichhaltiges Frühstück aber keine Abwechslung, kastrophaler Kaffee. Großes Appartement, aber sehr laut. Küche mit teilweise defekten Utensilien.

Hotel with large spacious rooms, we were on b+b basis and found the breakfast to be good with plenty of choice, Due to poor weather conditions we were unable to use the outdoor pool and sun bathing facilities but all looked lovely.

beim zimmerservice war mir das austauschen der badetücher nicht ganz klar. es klebte ein hinweis an die umwelt an der wand austauschen = über die adewanne hängen nicht austauschen = an der stange aufhängen die tücher wurden ausgewechselt obwohl ich sie an der stange hängen liess und einmal wurden keine neuen hingehängt obwohl auch kein Austausch gewünscht war. ansonsten sehr freundliches personal!

#### Tolle Hotelanlage mit eigenem Zugang zum Meer.

Die Verknüpfung der Infrastruktur von drei Hotels ergibt eine gelungene Vervielfältigung der Möglichkeiten für den Gast. Besonders die Poollandschaft, SPA und die direkten Zugänge zum Meer haben uns gefallen. Der Tauchkurs am "hoteleigenen" Riff war einer der Höhepunkte unserer Zeit in diesem Hotel. Die andere Seite der Bündelung der Kapazitäten: z.B. das zentrale gemeinsame Frühstücks-Buffet ist zwar ohne Zweifel wirtschaftlich und logistisch sinnvoll - führt aber sehr zum Gefühl der "Massenabfertigung"...

#### Hôtel très agréable conforme au descriptif du site

Bien situé près d'une entrée sur la voie rapide (nous avions loué une voiture ce qui me parait indispensable pour profiter de l 'île), en bord de mer. Nous avions choisi un studio vue mer avec petit déjeuner ( conforme aux photos du site ). Très grande pièce lumineuse avec cuisine équipée et balcon. Petit déjeuner buffet copieux avec beaucoup de fruits frais,petits pains variés et service impeccable sur une terrasse vue mer, servi jusqu'à 11h, parfait pour les gros dormeurs que nous sommes! Accueil très sympathique, un grand merci à André qui parlait bien français et nous a donné plein de bons conseils notamment pour les routes à prendre pour visiter l'île (nous avons loué un GPS à l'hôtel 5€ par jour, 3 fois moins cher qu'avec le loueur de voiture !! ) La femme de ménage était charmante. Bref un bon rapport qualité/prix pour ce séjour.

#### Good holiday, but could do with some TLC.

Never been to Madeira before, decided to give it a try. This place was nice and central to where we wanted to go, and as it turned out, a pleasant spot. I had booked mountain view room, but what we got was a huge room (Room 218), above the entrance area, with 2 small windows at the side of the room, overlooking the entrance steps, and a frosted glass partition above reception itself. The view was not good, the room a bit dark. We did try for an upgrade but the place was fully booked. As it happens, we were hardly in there apart from sleeping so it wasn't too big an issue in the end. Comfortable enough, with large patio areas and sea views at the back where all the balconies were situated. The patios were on multiple layers down to the sea with plenty of loungers etc. However, the areas themselves were looking shabby, rusted guard rails, stained and worn loungers, the place needs a face lift. There was a gym, quite well equipped, and saunas and jacuzzi with pools. Breakfast was self service and plentiful, although it did get crowded and the food toward the end of the week bland. Plenty of bars nearby, some excellent eating. There is also a free shuttle bus to Funchal, but you must book to get a place. This place was a 5 star RCI resort, but no longer. Still well worth a visit and I would return.

Large apartment very clean .in a lovely location. Had breakfast in the Rocomor hotel which the royal orchids has a corridor leading to as they had building works. Which was outside and overlooked the bay . Only stayed one night .but would go back. Very small pool though

#### Lovely Hotel next to the Sea in quiet location.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Easy access using Hotel or Public Bus and Taxi to Funchal. Book a Minibus trip at reception, Nun's Valley trip was great, lots of places to visit and things to do, Cable Car trip to Monte Palace Gardens, Catamaran Dolphin spotting, Aqua Park nearby etc etc. Some great restaurants within walking distance near the Spar shop and lovely lady with souvenir shop, carry on along the coast to Reis Magos for a swim in the sea.

Allmänt ok hotell men dåliga sängar och ingen wifi på rummet drar ner betyget ordentligt. Hotellet ligger fint vid vattnet och har fin utsikt. Rummen är stora men börjar bli rejält slitna.

#### Pour un 4 étoiles, préférez le Galo Resort !

A part le cadre, l'apparence générale et la surface de la chambre, nous avons été très déçus. Le pire était la restauration du niveau d'un self-service de cantine et encore. Nous avons été obligés de changer d'hôtel avec toutes les difficultés imaginables(aucun S.A.V. chez Hotels.com, quand vous êtes sur place). J'espère que mon avis sera publié en entier ... d'autant que j'aurais plus à dire sur ma mésaventure qui nous a gâché notre séjour.

Ympäristössä kaikki välttämättömät palvelut, ja Funchaliin pääsy helppoa yleisilläkin kulkuneuvoilla. Hotellillahan on palvelubussi, jota en ole tarvinnut. Paikallisbusseilla saa sight-seeingin erilaisten kylien kautta.
