The breakfast was great, the staff friendly and helpful and the hotel and grounds well maintained, charming and comfortable. Only minor issues were with the late check-in procedure and the beds, which were on the small side compared to most hotels these days. Overall a great stay and we would definitely stay again.

Spotless, very comfortable room, lovely sunny terrace and a comfortable sitting room full of books, plants, interesting pictures and antiques. The staff are so welcoming, friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was superb, the best we had in Madeira. Levada walks nearby and short walk to a couple of good restaurants. Highly recommended

The property itself is beautiful and has characters. It holds a luxurious vacation home standards. The ladies who host the place are wonderful. The front entrance was hard to find. It would be nice if the room has air-conditioning.

A beautiful stay!

After landing in Madeira, we headed straight to the property and were delighted to arrive. The surrounding area and grounds are beautiful and have all the facilities you could need including the pool (albeit, a bit chilly for this time of year), massage area and other areas to relax. Our room was incredibly clean, comfortable and very informative about the area and property facilities. Our favourite aspect was Berta’s breakfast. She is a wonderful and warm woman, who would go above and beyond to help and cater to the guests needs. The food was delicious and set us up for the hikes ahead!

Our stay at Villa Camelia was truly superb! Visiting in low season meant we had a near-empty property to enjoy - and it's a stunning house! The communal spaces are truly whimsical and there's something new to spot every time you walk through. Our room was very homely and the high ceilings on the upstairs level made it feel even more spacious. The breakfast served by Berta each morning was splendid, with lots of choice and all of it delicious. The grounds surrounding the house are plentiful and well-maintained and we cannot wait to return in the summer months to spend our downtime outside in the sun! Simply put; do not hesitate to book your stay here!

Avec mon conjoint, nous avons passé une semaine dans cette villa juste INCROYABLE et tellement typique 🌼✨ Le petit/déjeuner est tout simplement succulent avec une grande tablée pour discuter avec tous les clients de l'hôtel. Une gérante souriante, pleine de joie et tellement apaisante (elle prépare le petit-déjeuner devant vous et reste tout le long). La chambre était très bien : un grand lit pour bien s'étaler, une cafetière et une bouilloire à disposition, une très grande douche très agréable et deux lavabos et miroirs pour se préparer à deux 🤭. Rien à redire sur cette villa, qui d'ailleurs, appartient à la famille de Betta (j'espère ne pas faire de faute). Nous avons passé un excellent séjour 🐬👙✨ OBRIGADA / OBRIGADO !!!

Es una casa antigua impecable, parece que estás durmiendo en un lugar mágico por lo hermosa!. A la vez te sientes que estás llegando con familia que te está recibiendo calurosamente. La comida espectacular. Te levantas en la mañana a disfrutar de un súper delicioso desayuno donde te atienden como Reina, Las atenciones de Bertha y Malisha fueron insuperables! 200% recomendado MUCHAS GRACIAS

Jeg har aldri trivdes bedre på noe hotell; vakkert, stille, enestående hyggelig og kompetent betjening, nær fine levadaer og i passe avstand fra Funchal. De hadde til og med flott basseng, park og et lite bibliotek.🤗

Nous avons adoré notre séjour hors du temps dans cette magnifique demeure accompagnée d’un très grand jardin plus que paisible ! Personnel adorable et petit déjeuner exquis ! Pour la chambre j’avais pris la deluxe qui était parfaite ! J’ai pu apercevoir la chambre classique un peu étroite mais moins cher. On recommande les yeux fermés !

Logement magnifique, décoration travaillée et féerique qui donne envie de s’installer dans les espaces communs et dans la salle à manger. Le petit déjeuner est incroyable et servi par une personne tellement gentille qu’il devient difficile de quitter la table. Accès et jardins fleuris et entretenus au millimètre, ce lieu donne envie de rester encore plus longtemps. La proximité à Funchal est idéale si vous louez une voiture. J’y retournerai

Het hotel is een pareltje in een prachtige tuin met wijds uitzicht. Fijne bedden, kitchinette en lekkere douche. Let op koken kan niet in de kamer. Het personeel is uiterst vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Het geheel is antiek, eclectisch ingericht met veel bijzondere items. Het ontbijt is verrukkelijk: vers bereid. De tuin heeft tal van leuke zitjes en een mooi zwembad wat helaas voor begin april nog te koud was om in te zwemmen. Kortom zeker aan te raden.

Dies ist ein so liebevoll eingerichtetes Haus mit einem wundervollen großen Grundstück, mit vielen schönen Sitzmöglichkeiten Für mich war das mit Abstand schönste Hotel, in dem ich je war. Die Servicekraft hat mit ihrer Freundlichkeit noch mal ein i-Tüpfelchen drauf gesetzt. Kann ich wirklich nur wärmstens empfehlen, wenn man mal etwas besonderes haben möchte

En sjælden perle

Virkelig en perle. Smukt og gæstfrit. Lækker morgenmad hos Berta i køkkenet. Rent og pænt. Honestybar i køkkenet, hvor man kan købe drikkevarer. Haven og parken er fantastisk smuk med lyskæder om aftenen og mange hyggelige kroge man kan slappe af i. Poolen er uopvarmet, men dejlig frisk.

Intimt og hjemmekoselig hotell med stor hage i fredelig nabolag. Serviceinnstilt og hyggelig betjening. God og variert frokost med hjemmelaget kake på fint oppdekket langbord i en vakkert innredet spisekjeller. Grei gjesteparkering. Anbefales varmt!
