"Room was very clean and brand new. The staff was so helpful. We were able to have a late checkout which gave us some additional time at the pool. The staff also offered for us to enjoy the pool or beach and we could continue to park in lot and take shower in very clean restroom that included towels. Top notch!!! "

"You probably will not stay in one of the triangular cottages. Most rooms look like a one-story motel and are not well represented on the hotel web site. However, everything about the room was high quality and comfortable. Our room (07) overlooked a pond with anhingas, turtles and egrets. Free bikes with helmets and locks, free guest laundry. "

"We stayed for 2 nights and really enjoyed our time. The beach is a 2 minute on property walk and it’s incredible. Sanibel sunrises and sunsets amazing. More space than we could have possibly imagined on the beach - next to nobody around. We got beautiful weather, the grills on site were easy to use and saved us on several meals vs having to go to a restaurant. The condo was fantastic and for elderly people would be ideal because it’s first floor and the second unit closest to beach and the parking lot. It was clean and peaceful. We didn’t use the pool but there was plenty of opportunity to do so. The entire check in and check out process was easy and the host very kind and helpful. Very much enjoyed our stay and Sanibel is a years destination for our family. "

"As soon as we arrived and walked into the property we were thrilled that we found Kona Kai! The grounds are exceptional, the staff very friendly and great communication. Our room was perfect, with all of the amenities perfect for two. We were going to rent bikes but found everything in walking distance and hopped in the car for beach treks. We highly recommend this beautiful property for rest and relaxation… and the pool and pool facilities well equipped."

"Our unit need a lot of attention. The property has much more construction going on still - more that they explained when I called to check. Somehow we got checked in before we even arrived, which was concerning. The app for activities gives very little info and the employees don’t have any knowledge of them either- we couldn’t figure out where to go for our kayak excursion. The water sports employee that helped us when we finally found the area was AWESOME though- super nice and friendly and helpful and knowledge. I grew up going to Sanibel/Captiva so I’ve been a lot in 47 years. They are doing great at rebuilding on the islands, but South Seas needs some better management and still has a ways to go before construction will be complete. "
