"Hostel itself is very good with everything needed for a good stay. The road leading to the hostel however is almost unsuitable for vehicles and this is not mentioned when booking. Almost 1 mile of rough terrain is enough to cause significant damage."

"YHA Grasmere is a massive, well-maintained property with a really great team of staff. The kitchen and dining areas are huge and spotless, and having plenty of showers on every floor means you never have to wait around. The rooms, showers, and toilets were all kept very clean. Just a couple of minor maintenance issues: the light fixture above the mirror in my room didn't work, and one of the toilets took a few tries to get it to flush properly.
