Wonderful relaxing stay in gorgeous historic surroundings...

Am amazing hotel staff absolutely fantastic. Room was large as was the bathroom. Fantastic view of the garden. Free tea and coffee all day. Breakfast was good. Bus stop just outside the hotel to get into Edinburgh city centre.

It was absolutely lovely! Very close to Edinburgh Waverley and some lovely restaurants. Calton Hill is right next door as well. The front desk staff was very helpful, and the room was plush and clean. We wish we could stay longer!

A great weekend away for my husbands birthday. The hotel is easy to find. Staff, through all levels, were very professional, courteous and made you feel very welcome. Our room was spotless but next time we stay we will probably pay extra so we can try one of the suites. Food was to a very high standard. We stayed here to celebrate my husbands special birthday. From the moment we drove up and saw the impressive ship we knew we were in for a special treat. Everything about this place is incredible. Well located hotel right in the royal mile. Has its own parking which is easy to find and discounted for hotel guests. Friendly staff and comfortable rooms.

Great hotel perfect location staff really attentive and so polite. Breakfast was lovely great choice and freshly prepared. The bed was so comfortable and nice pillows too. I would really recommend a stay here.

I have never stayed at this hotel before and I will 100% be returning. Super clean, fantastic finish and the bed sheets were so soft! Couldn’t fault a single thing. We stayed on a Saturday night (on floor 9) and you could hear a tiny bit of noise from local streets but did not disturb our sleep one bit. All staff were super friendly too. Fab location too. Thank you so much.

This was a great place to stay for our family trip to Edinburgh. The tram station is right outside and only 20 mins ins. We drove and parking was straight forward albeit chargeable at £8 per day. The pool was a real added bonus for our kids after a long day of tourism. Only slight issue for me is our kids are getting older and Novotels concept of a "family" room is starting to look less desirable than the Premier Inns as the sofa bed is tight. Just got home from a weekend here and it was absolutely beautiful... breakfast options were great and swimming pool, sauna and steam room were great. My only bad point was the mattress wasnt all that but maybe its be being fussy. Netherless a beautiful place and we will be back in the summer

I can't fault the hotel, the staff, the bar, the food or the price. Staff were young but knowledgable. Food was simple but delicious. The bar had inventive twists on drinks (Negronis with port replacing Martini Rosso? A hot chocolate with Remy Martin?) If you're looking for a hotel that is bang in the centre of Edinburgh, look elsewhere. This is in the beautiful area of Stockbridge, 20min walk or 5 min bus ride from Princes St. We'll stay here again. Loved it.

Adored the lady that checked us in, who assisted us at a later point throughout our stay. The hotel was lovely, clean and warm. The swimming pool was a little cold at first but not too much of a problem. The room was lovely and spacious. The breakfast was phenomenal, with a continental bar to help yourself to. From the moment we arrived to the moment we vacated the service was exceptional. Staff so friendly and attentive. The rooms are luxurious and extremely clean. I would definitely recommend and I can’t wait to stay again x
