Gem in Cape Town will definitely stay again - extremely helpfull staff and amazing hospitality

My son and I had an amazing stay , the staff are exceptional . Hotel is lovely and close to restaurants / shops etc

Breakfests were fine, but the lunches and dinners in the restaurant were not so good.

Overall, we had a really good stay. The price was fair and the location was excellent, with plenty of great food spots nearby and easy access to everything we wanted to do in Cape Town. The hotel itself is a little dated and could definitely use some work in places. We had a couple of things that didn’t work properly during our stay, but the staff were fantastic. Whenever we had an issue, they were quick to come up and help us out, which made a big difference. All in all, a good experience. It’s not the newest or fanciest hotel, but for the price, location and great service from the staff, we were happy with our stay and would stay again.

I've stayed at The Taj many times, this time was a different purpose as I had a medical procedure to undergo. I wanted to know I could recuperate afterwards in a hotel where I would have a spotless clean and quiet room, plenty of space, great amenities, full blackout curtains, comfortable bed, choice of pillows, and having great staff on hand to take care of whatever I would need in my stay. Knowing I would not really leave my room for a few days I need a great room. All of this I got, and great in-room dining. I was able to enjoy the J-Wellness spa before I had my procedure which was great for being relaxed and ready for that. As ever The Taj and the wonderful staff who work there really excelled at making it a great experience. I will be back soon.
