Raven Hall Hotel had last seen me in the 1970s, as the terminal point of the famed Osmotherly to Ravenscar "Lyke Wake Walk" - 40 Miles within 24 Hours across the North Yorkshire Moors. We were not aware but we had booked the 'Romantic Package'- bottle of bubbly waiting for us and a box of chocolates, a lovely surprise. Delightful room with 4 poster bed. Ate in the evening, extensive menu and excellent food. Good breakfast and Buck's Fizz came with our package. Excellent service from everyone, good value for money. Very popular with locals so advisable to book a table if you want to eat there.

Stayed here several times. The hotel is excellent, the staff are amazing, the food is so gorgeous - just too much of it ! The rooms (and we have several different ones) are warm, inviting and immaculate. All have TVs and tea making facilites with an ample choice of tea, coffee, hot chocolate, all are en-suite and the bathrooms are spotless along with a good supply of towels and comp toiletries. Plenty of car parking space The only downside to this place is time passes too quickly...

Friendly, clean and beautifully situated hotel. Friendly, helpful and professional staff. Excellent food, but beware the huge portions! Highly recommended.

Stayed for just one night as part of our exploration of the great North East coast and really wished we could have stayed longer. We stayed in room 4 which was a delightful suite with a mezzanine bedroom. The room was spotlessly clean and very tastefully decorated. The bathroom was fantastic with the most amazingly powerful shower. The staff were incredibly helpful and polite and made our stay really enjoyable. Beautiful grounds accessed from the bar/rear of restaurant area - literally step outside and there they are. 10-15 minutes walk from the front of the hotel takes you into Sandsend, lovely village. Walk in the opposite direction takes you to Whitby, can walk or take car. Reception asked what our plans were each day, gave us parking disc for Whitby...gives you 3 hours in designated areas..perfect. Lovely hotel for a break that can be as relaxing or busy as you want it to be.

Very welcoming, we had booked a small room with sea view but were upgraded to a large room. Everying was spot on with two comfortable chairs in a large bay window allowing us to sit and take in an absolutely superb panoramic view of the South Bay and headland. The bed was extremely comfortable, the breakfast superb with an excellent choice and the staff very friendly. I really am struggling to find anything to to complain about, however trivial! Would thoroughly recommend.

Our host, Rebecca, is obviously passionate about the guest experience. The Cordelia is a magnificent period property full of charm and warmth. The room was amazing - being roomy and well presented with period furniture, quality bedding and towels. The breakfast was probably the best we've had, made with top quality ingredients. It took us a whole day of walking to work it off! Thanks for a wonderful stay!
