"We were just in out room when I member of staff opened door without knocking, left the door open and walked off. A tray of left over room service was outside our door when we arrived. A lamp in the room never had a bulb in it, so useless. 4th time staying at this hotel always recommending it but not anymore"

"Warm welcome and checking in, excellent evening meal and breakfast. Staff were wonderful. To rate at excellent we would if the bed was better, a poor quality matress topper, hard pillows and we could feel the hard mattress. The room was a hard climb into the eaves. Will book a room on the main floor for next stay there. Buxton is a beatiful place and we only stayed for one night on this occasion."

"Stayed for 1 night, and will book again. This place for the money is fantastic. Staff pleasant,helpful,informative,nothing is too much to do for you. Room...very good basic,comfortable bed,choice of pillows,and very clean. Breakfast... Plenty of choice and as much to eat as you want.The quality of the products,bacon,sausage etc..all very hot food.I definately recommend a stay here."

"4 pillows, 2 with protectors on but stained and warn, the other two with no protector at all. They have to address this, as it’s a serious hygiene issue. None of the staff knew what their policy was. The renovated rooms have been done well considering the room price, however hallways are very dated and not maintained. "
