"We enjo.yed our stay. The cottage was in a tranqil area, but only a short drive from Porthmadog. It had every thing that we needed in a home away from home. The kitchen and bathroom were well equipped and clean. The beds were very comfortable, although bedrooms were small. The lounge area is looking a little tired, the sofa and rug especially need updating. There was a lot of cobwebs throuhout with wispy spiders (which I hoovered away) . "The lodge rooms are superbly quiet with absolutely no road noise although friends staying in the main hotel were disturbed by traffic noise. Lodges are freshly decorated with great bathrooms and excellent daily housekeeping The continental breakfast had a good selection of fruit and yoghurt. The hot food was cooked to order which I much prefer to buffets. The full Welsh breakfast was quite a meagre portion with poor quality sausage, although the other choices such as poached eggs on brioche and cheese omelette with bacon were wonderful. The breakfast staff were exceptionally helpful and went out of their way provided a special order of porridge for a friend with an upset stomach. Overall this is probably the best option if you want a quiet stay and ample free parking on the edge of town within in a very short walking distance of the main busy areas of shops, pubs and restaurants. I didn’t try the hotel restaurant."
