I too was looking at reviews, constantly, and wondering where I should go for premium warm destination experience. Rest assured, if you are considering Secrets Maroma for a relaxing 360-degree all inclusive experience - your investment will pay its return. The inviting reception from the moment you enter the resort, to the extremely smooth check-in process, and welcome drink with a cold hand towel - you’re greeted to a place that the Secrets team calls “home”. The room design is a masterpiece. It’s extremely clean and smells amazing. We went for a birthday and were greeted with chocolate covered strawberries and champagne in our room. The beach was incredible. The sand is the best I’ve ever seen before. The water (from a distance) is that blue-green colour that is gorgeous. From a distance because the water at shore is unfortunately impacted with sargassum which is not to the fault of the resort. The food was by far and large the best we’ve had at an all inclusive. The restaurants are all fantastic with Bordeaux and El Patio the top two. Entertainment was exceptional, considering it’s an all-inclusive. Every other night, it was effectively Cirque-Du-Soleil-Lite with the quality of performances. And the staff. They were truly all phenomenal. The resort likes us calling out names specifically, but there truly were too many to remember to call out. Highly recommend!"

"The room was clean, however, the slide door to the fridge was miss aligned and was almost impossible to open. The shower rack was loose and everything almost fall apart. Worst thing happened on the last night, 3 people including my son started to have diarrhea and vomiting issue and my son is still on feaver, the common food they had was the ice cream."

"The rooms were clean,pools were excellent, staff was super,food was delicious!! I have no problems with all the resort. The only thing is that make sure if Expedia said you have a spa day for 2 make sure you announce it on your check in. I forgot so its my fault and i guess the resort has no clue which its weird because how can they book our spa day if Expedia doesn't put it there. But everything else was so perfect i felt like a queen 👸 "

"Ignore the bad reviews, this resort was great! The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. So much wildlife, like iguanas j chillin on sidewalks as your walk around, very cool to see! The adults only pool was small, not a lot of chairs. The family side however had a ton of chairs and a lot more pools. Yolanda on the family side was our favorite waitress! The rooms are typical Caribbean rooms. We personally did not have a musty smell like others claimed. Might’ve been my shampoo but it smelt like my shampoo every single day. Wish the room temp got a bit cooler or there was a fan but by the end of the night I didn’t really care! Lastly, the buffet was great! Smaller than other resorts I’ve been to but still lots of options. There’s also a waiter there who makes a bunch of animal noises - a cat screeching specifically. Caught me off guard at first but we truly enjoyed it! Very friendly, very attentive, great memory and remembered folks! "

"my husband and myself stayed for a week and had the most wonderful time. All the staff are wonderful. We did not encounter one person that was not kind or willing to help when needed. We did stay in the privilege section and although did not use the beach area or quite pool we still feel everything else included was worth it. Our butler Leidy was amazing and every request was met with no problem, even on her day off. "
