"The property was very charming and traditional in style, and had everything we needed. A great location in the village, with many tavernas on the doorstep. The pool area was small but it was easy to get a sunlounger, with views to the mountain or over the roof tops to the sea. The staff were friendly and helpful. "We (a family of 3 generations) chose the hotel specifically for its proximity to the Heraklion airport. The hotel was immaculate, the staff helpful and the rooms were also immaculate and provided all the necessities for an overnight stay. Yes, we did hear the planes going overhead - but that was expected. And the heavy drapes mitigated the noise considerably. The beds were so comfortable that none of us had any trouble sleeping. Our plane left too early to enjoy the wonderful-sounding breakfast (we had to leave at 4am!) but I am told by other guests we were missing a treat :("

"One of the best all-inclusive resorts I've visited, and I've been to four now. We travelled with a 16, 13, and 10-year-old. Each night, there was a different themed food, but still the same options available if the kids didn't want to try anything new. There are four different pools and food bars around the resort. Entertainment is available throughout the day if you want to change things up. The Star Beach isn't the best, but it offers several water sports you can pay for. The beach a short walk left or right of Star Beach is far nicer."
