"The staff at this property took excellent care of us. They were patient, kind, and helpful. The food was very fresh and flavorful. The shower was a little difficult to get working properly but we figured it out in the end. Really loved the view from the balcony too. 10/10 would stay again. "
"Traumhafte Hotel am Fluss mit tollen Blick und sehr schöne Gegend mit der Geschichte der Papiermühle. Zimmer war groß und das Frühstück war ausreichend. "
"Lovely hotel with excellent service. Elena who greeted us upon arrival was absolutely lovely and professional, friendly and welcome! She greeted us warmly upon arrival and facilitated a smooth check in. She ensured that breakfast was to our liking and was most informative and helpful throughout the stay. The property is very quiet and peaceful. "
"We stayed for four nights as a family (my wife and our children, ages 6 and 10) and the experience was fantastic. The accommodation’s location is ideal for exploring Tuscany—very central and convenient for getting around.
The room was spotless, clean, and very well-equipped with everything we needed. The highlight was the incredible view of the valley and Pistoia; waking up to such a beautiful scene each morning was amazing!

"In the title it’s listed as a hotel. It’s a room for rent in someone’s home. Not a bed and breakfast. Outside of the property it is filthy. Garbage, yard is not well kept. White plastic stained chairs. The flags that hang outside of the property are ripped and should be replaced. In my country it’s a disgrace to see a flag like that, The unit smells like mould. My throat and nose burnt from the smell. The inside of the unit is quaint but needs to be aired out. The bedroom sits on the side of a...
"Fantastic atmosphere and quality at dinner.
A little more standard at breakfast.
Poor English skills from the receptionist. She didn’t really understand that we had a problem in our room.(Our neighbor keep smoking in his bathroom, so our bathroom was also stinking of cigarettes)
The pool area is very clean and nice to visit, but the traffic around is a little noisy."

"The tranquility overlooking the valley from the terrace, the restaurant and the pool. Gorgeous Tuscan setting. Lovely old nunnery buildings. Be aware that the menu is limited and does not change day-to-day. Otherwise wonderful."
"Awesome experience! Beautiful, classic, quiet hotel. Great front desk help. The breakfast buffet with custom coffee orders was exceptional. Very peaceful setting."
"Grand hotel Cappuggi did not disappoint. I stayed with my 3 children for 10 nights end of june , start of july. Very reasonably priced 4* hotel experience haf by all. A little out of town (2 miles) but free shuttle bus (or taxi if not available) shows excellent customer care. Receptionists very helpful, cleaners nice and cheerful. Fabulous swimming pool essential in 38° temperatures. Football and tennis available. Ball provided keeping my boys well entertained. Thiroughly recommend this hotel as a point from where to explore Tuscany and further afield.

"First of all, we had no car. We had planned to have one but Italy recently changed the law and the rental companies haven’t updated their contract language or online policies to make that clear. If you have no car, you will be trapped here. There is one restaurant. The breakfast is paltry and they run out of items. There is little fresh like fruit. There is no lunch available and the town is a far walk down a mountain road. They make no exceptions for this. The dinner starts later and the menu is limited. Otherwise it’s fine. The pool and rooms are not how they are represented in the pictures. Overall very expensive for what you get especially if you hadn’t planned to be trapped there. It’s not set up for you to be so. Updated pictures are needed. "
"Beautiful hotel! The restaurant had fantastic food and the pool area was great. The breakfast left something to be desired, but everything else was perfect!"
Typical Tuscan house.Great view on Lucca.Private parking/garden.WIFI
10/10 Excellent
"Our stay in Lucca was wonderfully relaxing. Massimo was a great host. He stopped in several times in the two weeks that we were there. His travel tips and suggestions made our trip the most enjoyable we’ve had. The house was nicely furnished but kept a farmhouse charm. The view from the patio never failed to relax us. Very peaceful. We would come back in a heartbeat."
